B.R.O. directs a portion of its revenue through Stripe Climate Commitments to help advance permanent carbon-removal technologies.
What we’re doing: As B.R.O. grows, a portion of the revenue we earn is committed through Stripe Climate to support a portfolio of early-stage projects designed to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere for the long term.
This is B.R.O.’s commitment. It does not add a separate charge to a customer’s subscription.
We want the technology behind better business communication to be matched by a responsible view of the future.
Why Stripe Climate
Stripe Climate Commitments pool contributions to help promising carbon-removal technologies develop and scale. Stripe selects projects with scientific expert input and uses a portfolio approach because some early-stage approaches will succeed while others may not.
That is the kind of honest progress B.R.O. believes in: contributing to the work, reporting it responsibly, and avoiding bigger claims than the facts support.
What this commitment means—and what it doesn’t
- It means B.R.O. allocates a portion of its own revenue to Stripe Climate Commitments.
- It does not change the price or included features of a B.R.O. subscription.
- It is not a claim that B.R.O. or a customer’s business is “carbon neutral” or “net zero.”
- It is a practical way to help early permanent carbon-removal work move forward as B.R.O. grows.
